The perfect assessment and alignment of a specific quantity of technical information is the key to manufacturing flawless components in an automated manner. Suitable technical equipment with adequate parameters is the primary prerequisite. No less important, however, are capable, clever, determined and satisfied people, without whom nothing happens.
Our horizontal CNC machining centers are the basic pillar of our company’s manufacturing capabilities. Proven Csepel MK 500 tools were replaced with more modern and high quality tooling equipment. The oldest of these new tools is the Mori Seiki NH 4000 DCG. We later added a Makino a61 in 2012, followed by two Mori Seiki NHX 4000 tools and a DMG Mori NHX 5000 in 2016.
There are two principal advantages of horizontal machining centers:
1. shortening or complete avoidance of downtime required to reposition the work piece using a two pallet system,
2. the fourth axis enables the rotation of pallets at any angle.
We make full use of these advantages when machining large series of small steel castings and other larger products, where the fourth axis control provides access to different sides in a single workholding fixture. The solution for an optimum workholding fixture is another key aspect in addition to the machine tool itself. Thin-walled, less rigid steel castings and other aluminium or alloy castings are particularly sensitive. A quality and solid workholding fixture that enables the easy swap out of work pieces guarantees production time savings, and multiplies the benefits provided by machining centers. Workholding fixtures are our know-how and we produce them in-house.

Heat treatment and surface finishing are common requirements for a range of mechanical parts. Our efforts to provide our customers with comprehensive services are also evident in this particular area.
The Technical Control department, led by the Quality Manager, defines the measurement plans, documentation for initial sampling, or the entire set of documents required for specific requests. Typical requirements include 3D measurement equipment reports and the traceability of production and measurement data.
CETA tester-based differential pressure leak testing
Leak testing is a common post-machining step stipulated on technical prints for aluminium castings. We first encountered this type of specification when machining a double housing for a Bosch electric traction motor, which was designed for applications in electric vehicles.
